This young boy faced immense challenges that jeopardized his education. Due to financial constraints, he had to stay home for a whole month, unable to attend school because his family couldn’t afford the required school levies and uni form. His parents relied on casual labour to meet the basic needs of the family, making it challenging to provide for their child’s education.
When our organization learned about this situation through the area social worker, we recognized the urgency of the matter and promptly intervened to ensure the child’s education was not compromised. We implemented a series of interventions, including counselling, parenting training, cash transfers, and support for primary education.
Thanks to your generous donation, we were able to cover the school levies and provide the necessary uniform for the child. This support not only enabled him to return to school but also had a positive impact on his academic performance. Today, he is thriving in his studies and making impressive strides in class. The positive outcomes did not stop there. Following your intervention, the boy’s father, who was previously struggling with casual labour, secured employment at Delmonte company for casual work. This newfound source of income has significantly improved the family’s financial stability, allowing them to meet their needs more comfortably.
