Improving the lives of Kenyan children and their families
Children of Strength Watoto Wenye Nguvu was created to help children in Kilimambogo, Kenya overcome the devastating effects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and widespread poverty

Supporting the whole child
Our goal is to help feed, educate, and equip this generation of young people to understand their responsibility in their world and give them opportunities to make a better life for themselves, their families and their community.
The Basics
Our program provides living essentials: food, clothing, shelter and protection, healthcare, education and sports, family support, and safe housing.
Continuous Support
Each school is assigned a Kenyan social worker who meets with the children monthly to assess the living conditions, progress in school and other issues the children may be facing.
Safe House
Kusitawi Village is an alternative living space where children are given supervision, counseling, and care to allow them to heal physically and emotionally.
School Feeding Program
Today we feed over 4,500 meals to school children ages 4 to 18 years old, Monday-Friday during the school term. There is reduced absenteeism, improved ability to learn, and fewer trips to the doctors.
Vocational & Leadership Training
For those children not continuing with higher education we provide vocational training, including Hospitality, Hair and Beauty, Farming, and Sewing.
Microloans
These loans are provided to help start or enhance small businesses in the community such as vegetable stands, charcoal selling, fabric shop, and basket making.
“Your donation has not only empowered a young student to continue his education
but has also positively influenced the overall well-being of his family. Your
commitment to making a difference has created a ripple effect, transforming the
lives of those in need.”
